The Lounge Re-Born!

This past Friday I went to one of my favourite clubs, it’s not in a big town, in fact it’s located in Peterborough, Ontario about 90 miles outside of Toronto. It was a special night as “The Lounge” had just been renovated. New leather couches, VIP rooms with bottle service and plasma screen TV’s everywhere you turn. There’s no chance of missing the game here!

I was invited by one of the owners and a good friend of mine, Mike Skinner (pictured in the black suit). The night started off with a good crowd and then grew into a jam packed event. The music, people and snacks (shrimps, chicken satay and a chocolate fountain) made it even a more spectacular event.

If our communist Provincial government would allow people to smoke in a bar, “The Lounge” would probably be the ultimate place to smoke a cigar, until then I’ll have to use their giant patio outside.

In other news, I got my IQ result from CBC's Test the Nation program that I was on last Sunday. Based on my age, I got a score of 121, the highest score was 137, my team score was 118 so I was above average for my team and the nation. That's a relief!

My IQ is put to the test!

It’s been a whirlwind of a week for me so far, Sunday night I was on a game show that tests IQ’s against different segments of the population, "Test the Nation" made it's debut on CBC and I got to knock heads against some very smart people. I was grouped with 35 other people in my tax bracket and was put to test again Surgeons, Mayors, Tattoo Artists, Radio DJ’s and Fitness Instructors. It was exciting, my buddy Boris came along too. We lost by 1 point to the Surgeons which somewhat put us all at ease, I’d really have to think twice before going under the knife if a Surgeon's IQ is the same as or lower than mine!

After the show I jumped on a jet and headed to the Bahamas for a few days of relaxation courtesy of Luxury Retreats, they offer an easy way to find private villas or islands around the world. This one comes complete with private chef, massage therapist and server. There are a few boats to play with as well, but the weather hasn’t been holding up as well. Thank goodness there’s wireless internet! The concept is cool, and overall it’s a fantastic way to relax with friends and family. The island I’m on is Little Whale Cay, a 20 minute flight from Nassau.

I don’t know when the next update will be, I’ve been so busy lately that even a blog update has been hard to do. But I imagine it will be sometime soon when I head to New Zealand …
